Smaller, faster, and higher-resolution PTZ cameras with up to 4K resolution and powerful IR illumination

i-PRO is introducing 16 new, high-speed pan, tilt and zoom (PTZ) cameras with up to 4K resolution and powerful IR illumination. Called Rapid PTZ i-PRO has the new models as part of our X and S Series line-up. The new PTZ cameras are the smallest in their category and feature comprehensive edge AI capabilities and a broad range of resolution options.

Thanks to the small form factor, the new i-PRO Rapid PTZ cameras can be discreetly deployed. With pan and tilt speeds up to 700°/s, operators are assured quick and precise surveillance coverage as they move the camera through multiple pre-set positions in the blink of an eye.

Thanks to their small form factor, the new cameras can be discretely deployed. With pan and tilt speeds up to 700°/s (*for pan speed), operators are assured quick and precise surveillance coverage. Powerful IR LED capabilities enable the cameras to monitor in complete darkness up to 250 meters (820.2ft) while advanced analytics and AI-based auto-tracking make sure that persons and vehicles of interest stay locked on target and in focus.

2. Edge AI Capability

All Rapid PTZ models include AI-based edge processing to detect motion for people, including direction of travel, line-crossing, and loitering. The cameras use AI object detection to precisely track objects as they move within the camera’s field of view. AI Sound classification are also included when an external microphone is added. Additional AI apps can be installed as required for vehicle detection, occupancy detection, Privacy Guard masking, and scene change detection. Up to three AI apps in total are supported on the 4K/6MP models and up to two AI apps are supported on the 2MP models. Privacy Guard is a unique i-PRO feature that masks/blurs the bodies or faces of individuals with edge-based processing in the camera.

３. Easy Deployment

Featuring a discreet design that allows for direct installation on low ceilings or eaves on rooftops, the new Rapid PTZ models includes i-PRO’s new fail-safe waterproof ethernet connector along with multiple mounting options. For the ultimate protection from corrosive environments such as salt water, all X Series Rapid PTZ models are ISO 14993 rated to withstand the harshest conditions.

4. Durability

Many PTZ cameras utilize a belt drive system which deteriorates with use. Belts stretch over time leading to less precision when panning to the desired area in the scene. i-PRO PTZ cameras rely on gears to deliver consistent, repeatable panning accuracy and require no routine maintenance avoiding system downtime.

5. Cybersecure

i-PRO’s Rapid PTZ cameras are FIPS 140-2 level 3 certified thanks to their use of an EdgeLock secure element which supports identity-based authentication, strong encryption and an extra layer of security that protects critical security parameters on the device. ​This makes the i-PRO Rapid PTZ models the only FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified PTZs on in the market.

The prestigious International Exhibition and Convention Centre at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, opened in July this year. i-PRO will further expand its multi-sensor camera lineup with six new dual-sensor models. With support for up to 2x 4K sensors, the i-PRO S-series offers the highest resolution* in its class. *As of Mar,2023 based on i-PRO’s own research. 

1. New Dual-sensor camera

The new i-PRO dual sensor cameras efficiently monitor two separate areas simultaneously such as hallway intersections with a small form factor requiring minimum power, cabling and only a single VMS license. A corridor mode enables an optimized aspect ratio to get less wall and more hall providing the best image regardless of deployment.

The four S-series models can be configured with dual 4K sensors with 3.1mm fixed lenses supplying the widest 104° FOV or dual 4MP sensors with 2.9-7.3mm motorized varifocal lenses with a 100° FOV or a 2.5x zoom. In addition to its excellent low-light performance, the cameras also feature IR LED illumination with a distance of 40m (30IRE).

For installations that don’t require AI-based analytics, i-PRO’s cost-effective U-series models feature the same dual 4MP sensors with 2.9-7.3mm motorized varifocal lenses and 2.5x zoom available in the S-series.

2. Edge AI Capability

These S-Series dual-sensor cameras also include the most powerful edge AI chip with free pre-installed applications. Up to four different AI-based analytic apps can be used in varying combinations. Sound detection analytics are also available with S-Series using specialty mount with an embedded microphone for a comprehensive video and sound analytics package.

Installation time and cost are reduced by allowing the camera to be set up without removing the main unit from the box. The unique i-PRO hook structure makes mounting by a single person easy and trouble free.

4. Cyber Secure

All i-PRO dual sensor cameras are equipped as standard with a secure element that complies with FIPS 140-2 level 3 certification making them highly cyber resilient. Each camera also contains a digital certificate issued by GlobalSign for enhanced network authentication.

Vaidio 7.0 upgrades the fall detection engine for improved accuracy.

• License Plate Recognition

• Scene Change

Vaidio Scene Change monitors specific scenes over time. It dynamically updates its understanding of the baseline or normal state throughout the day, and alerts on any change or anomaly—without requiring pre-training. Vaidio Scene Change can detect quick changes such as fallen trees or objects introduced or removed, as well as developing changes such as slow leaks or snow accumulation. Vaidio 7.0 enhances accuracy with the ability to exclude items or events that do not require a response.

• System Enhancements

Vaidio 7.0 includes login, camera, and file management enhancements, as well as new integration with the Bosch Network Video Recorder (NVR) that allows Vaidio to retrieve video from Bosch and send triggers from Vaidio to Bosch via HTTP.

90% of LONGSPAN products are for outdoor applications, like IP-CCTV on a building perimeter. We are now proposing LONGSPAN / LONGSPAN MAX QUAD instead of the traditional Industrial Media Convertor / Industrial Switch Solution respectively.

TRADITIONAL SOLUTION

Below is the application diagram for the traditional fibre + Media convertor/ switch solution. Considering a requirement of IP-CCTV installation 500 Mtrs away from the IDF, the Following things have to be arranged for the connection.

• Deploy 500 Mtrs of Fiber + Power cable
• Termination of fibre and power cable on both ends + All its accessories.
• Active equipment at both ends.
• IP67/68 Rated Enclosure at field side.

With LONGSPAN Solution it is as simple as pulling a Cat6 Cable to the camera end and adds LONGSPAN devices on both ends.

The Fiber solution takes about 2 Hrs on an average for preparing the enclosure box with splicing on both ends whereas LONGSPAN Solution takes about less than 2-5 Minutes on the enclosure side, all you have to do is to crimp an RJ45 plug.

If you consider 10 of such points, fibre solution takes 20 Hrs just for the enclosure preparation and our solution takes hardly half an hour. Thus Veracity’s solution saves a lot of costs in terms of material cost as well as time. A cost comparison has been done between traditional Fiber Solution Vs LONGSPAN Solution considering the scenario of 10 Nos of IP_CCTV deployment that is 500 Mtrs far from the IDF.

The cost for fibre solution considered below is the real buying cost of a system integrator of Mid-Level brands available in the Qatar market. The Cost of the same will raise if considering the top-end, Non-Chiese country of origin brands.

For high-quality, efficient coverage of wide areas, nothing beats a multi-sensor camera. When integrated with a powerful PTZ camera, security operators have the best of both worlds. Traditional multi-sensor + PTZ cameras tend to be heavy and bulky which has relegated their deployments to exterior, elevated mounting positions. The new outdoor-rated and vandal-proof WV-X86531-Z2 camera is nearly half the weight of competing multi-directional PTZ cameras. At only 8.4 lbs. (3.8 kg ) and is 9.8 x 7.5 inch (250 x 195 mm), it is the most discreet camera of its type currently available. Milestone version updates typically come 2-3 times per year, whilst patches and bug fixes are released frequently in what are called ‘Cumulative patches‘. Version updates like this one bring new features and improvements, and 2023 R1 brings some big ones. This fits with Milestone’s accelerated timeline for improvements over the coming year.
